Narrow Frame Glass Entry Door Private Residence Renovation Project
1. Project Background
This project is an entry door upgrade for a modern residence. The original entrance door provided insufficient natural light, making the foyer feel dark and enclosed, and it did not harmonize with the overall courtyard style. The homeowner wanted to improve transparency, natural lighting and visual quality while maintaining a warm and secure living atmosphere.
2. Solution
We customized a black slim-frame glass entry door system with large transparent glass panels and a narrow black frame, allowing natural light to enter the foyer more effectively. The door frame features clean lines and a minimalist structure, enhancing the modern appearance without appearing overly aggressive.
The solution includes:
- Black slim-frame glass door: improves transparency and modern aesthetics;
- Large glass area: enhances natural lighting in the foyer;
- Custom door frame and hardware system: ensures smooth operation and structural stability;
- Safety glass configuration: balances openness with security;
- Integrated porch design: creates visual consistency between the door, walls, flooring and lighting.
3. Final Result
After installation, the overall brightness of the entrance was significantly improved. During the day, natural light flows through the glass into the foyer, making the space more open and transparent. In the evening, interior lighting shines gently through the glass, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The black slim-frame glass door harmonizes with the light stone flooring, courtyard plants, wall lamps and outdoor furniture, transforming the entrance from a simple door into an integrated part of the landscape.
4. Key Highlights
- Excellent natural lighting: large glass area brightens the foyer;
- High transparency: narrow frame makes the entrance feel more open;
- Modern appearance: black slim frame fits contemporary home design;
- Courtyard integration: blends with porch, garden and lighting;
- Safe and open: transparent glass without compromising security.
5. Client Testimonial
“After replacing the door, the whole entrance feels completely different. The foyer is much brighter during the day, and at night it looks very warm from the outside. What we like most is that it doesn’t just close off the house — it connects the courtyard with the interior.”
